Dr Mehrdad Bordbar
Dr Mehrdad Bordbar is a dedicated physician with over 12 years of
clinical experience across both the NHS and the private sector. After
completing his medical training at the University of Southampton, he
developed a passion for patient-centered care that addresses the root
causes of illness rather than just the symptoms. In 2025, Dr Bordbar
founded Olivine Clinic in Poundbury with a clear ethos: to provide truly
holistic and personalised medicine that empowers patients to take
control of their health.
Central to Dr Bordbar’s practice is a “nutrition and lifestyle first”
approach, underpinned by his specialised training with the Institute for
Functional Medicine (AFMCP). This training allows him to treat patients
as whole systems, integrating the physical, environmental, and lifestyle
factors influencing their well-being. He combines this functional
perspective with modern diagnostic tools, incorporating Point of Care
Ultrasound (PoCUS) into his clinical assessments and offering medical
acupuncture to ensure comprehensive, multi-faceted care.
From his dedicated medical premises in Poundbury, Dr Bordbar provides a
wide range of services, including private GP consultations, quick blood
tests, and comprehensive PoCUS assessments. He also specialises in
musculoskeletal health, offering ultrasound-guided injections for the
shoulder and knee. Dr Bordbar is committed to delivering accessible,
